Moderation
Orax provides several moderation tools to keep your interserv groups safe and well-managed.
Moderation Tools Overview
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| User Bans | Ban individual users from the interserv group |
| Group Lock | Temporarily prevent all non-admins from sending messages |
| Word Blacklist | Block messages containing specific words |
| Message Filters | Advanced rule-based message filtering |
| Log Channel | Log blocked messages with inline ban buttons |
| Moderators | Designate specific users as group moderators |
| Track | Trace any synced message to its original author |
All moderation actions are group-wide — they affect all channels and servers in the interserv group, not just the channel where the command was used.
Moderator Permissions
The following users have moderation powers in an interserv group:
- Server Administrators — Always have full moderation access
- Users with Manage Messages permission — Are moderators by default
- Custom moderator list — If configured, only users on this list (plus admins) are moderators
See Moderators configuration for details on setting up the custom moderator list.
Cross-Server Moderation
Since interserv groups span multiple servers, moderation is a shared responsibility:
- A moderator in any server can ban users for the entire group
- A lock affects all channels across all servers
- Each server can independently configure its own log channel
- Banned users are banned from the group, not from individual Discord servers
Only designate moderators you trust, as they have the power to affect all servers in the group.
