Getting StartedYour First Message

Your First Message

Now that your channel is linked to an interserv group, you’re ready to start chatting across servers!

Sending a Message

Simply type a message in your linked channel as you normally would. Orax will automatically:

  1. Detect the message in your channel
  2. Transform it — apply custom usernames, avatars, and formatting rules
  3. Relay it to all other channels in the same interserv group via webhooks

The message will appear in other servers with your username (or a custom pattern if configured) and your avatar.

What Gets Synced?

FeatureSynced?Notes
Text messagesIncluding mentions, code blocks, and formatting
AttachmentsImages, videos, files (up to 10MB per file)
EmbedsRich embeds from bots and link previews
StickersAll formats, including Lottie (converted to GIF)
Message editsEdits are propagated to all mirrored messages
Message deletionsCan be disabled per group
ReactionsAdded reactions are replicated across servers
ThreadsThread creation and deletion are synced
PollsVotes are aggregated when the poll expires

Custom Emojis

Orax supports a custom emoji system. You can type :!emoji_name: to insert an emoji by name. The bot will resolve it to the actual Discord emoji markup if it has access to that emoji. If the bot can’t access the emoji, it converts it to a markdown image link.

Warning Messages

By default, Orax shows a one-time warning message to users the first time they send a message in a linked channel, informing them that their messages will be synced to other servers. This can be customized or disabled in the group settings.

Try These Commands

Once you’re chatting, try these useful commands:

  • /channel-infos — See information about the interserv group linked to the current channel
  • /track — Trace a synced message back to its original author and server
  • /rules — View the group’s custom rules (if set)
  • /debug-channel — Run diagnostics on the channel’s webhook and permissions

Tips

  • Be respectful — remember that your messages are visible to people in other servers
  • Check the rules — use /rules to see if the group has specific rules
  • Use the dashboard — visit oraxbot.com/dashboard  for advanced settings
  • Configure your group — explore the configuration options to customize usernames, filters, and more
