Join a Group

You can join a published interserv group from the Explore page by submitting a join request to the group owner.

How to Join

Browse the Explore Page

Visit oraxbot.com/explore  and browse published groups.

Select a Group

Click on a group to see its details, including description, image, connected servers, and vote count.

Submit a Join Request

Click the “Join” button. You’ll be prompted to:

  1. Select which of your servers you want to join from
  2. Select which channel in that server should be linked

Wait for Approval

Your join request is sent to the group owner’s proposals channel. The owner can accept or deny your request.

Get Linked

If accepted, your selected channel is automatically linked to the group, and message sync begins immediately.

Join Request Flow

  1. You submit a join request with your server and channel selection
  2. A proposal message appears in the group owner’s proposals channel
  3. The proposal shows:
    • Your server name
    • The channel you want to link
    • Your server’s public information (if available)
  4. The owner clicks Accept or Deny
  5. You receive a notification of the decision

Join requests are not instant — they require approval from the group owner. Be patient and make sure your server is presentable (set a public name and invite link in server settings).

Tips for Getting Accepted

  • Set your server’s public name — Go to dashboard settings and set a clear, recognizable public name
  • Enable public visibility — Toggle your server to public so the owner can see your server info
  • Set a public invite link — Provide a working Discord invite link so the owner can check out your server
  • Choose the right channel — Select a channel that’s appropriate for the group’s topic

You can also join a group directly via a join link (if the group owner shared one with you):

  1. Go to oraxbot.com/join/<link>
  2. Select your server and channel
  3. The channel is linked immediately (no approval needed for direct links)

Direct join links bypass the approval process. Group owners share these links privately with specific servers they want to invite.

After Joining

Once your channel is linked to the group:

  • Messages start syncing immediately
  • You can use all commands in the linked channel
  • You can configure channel-specific settings
  • The group owner can still ban you or unlink your channel if needed
