Configuration Overview
Orax offers extensive configuration options to customize how your interserv groups work. Settings are split into group-level (apply to all channels) and channel-level (per-channel overrides).
Where to Configure
Settings can be changed from two places:
1. Discord Commands
Use the /manage-group command in any linked channel for an interactive button-based settings panel.
2. Orax Dashboard
Visit oraxbot.com/dashboard for a full web interface with all settings organized in a clean UI.
The dashboard provides the most complete configuration experience, with visual editors for filters, username patterns, and more.
Settings Hierarchy
Settings follow a hierarchy where channel-level settings can override group-level defaults:
Channel Setting (highest priority)
↓ falls back to
Group Setting (default)
↓ falls back to
Orax DefaultFor example, if a group has “reply style” set to “Embed” but a specific channel overrides it to “Quote”, that channel will use the Quote style while all other channels use Embed.
Server-Level Settings
In addition to group and channel settings, each Discord server has server-level settings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Language | Server language (English, Spanish, French) — affects warning messages and help text |
| Public | Whether the server is visible in the /channel-infos command for published groups |
| Public Name | Display name for the server when shown publicly |
| Public Link | Discord invite link shown for public servers |
