Moderators
Moderators are users who can use moderation commands (/lock, /unlock, /ban-user-from-interserv-group, /unban-user-from-interserv-group) in the interserv group.
Default Behavior
By default, any member with the Manage Messages permission in their Discord server is considered a moderator for the interserv group. This means they can use moderation commands without any additional configuration.
Custom Moderator List
You can configure a specific list of usernames who are moderators, regardless of their Discord permissions. This is useful when you want to designate specific users as moderators for the interserv group without giving them server-level permissions.
How It Works
- If a custom moderator list is set, only users on that list (and server administrators) can use moderation commands
- If the list is empty, the default behavior applies (anyone with Manage Messages permission is a moderator)
Server administrators always have moderator access, regardless of the custom moderator list.
How to Configure
Via Dashboard
- Go to oraxbot.com/dashboard
- Select your server and group
- Under Moderation & Security, find the Moderators field
- Add usernames (one per line or comma-separated)
- Save the changes
Via Discord
Use the /manage-group command and select the “Moderators” option.
Moderator Permissions
Moderators can use the following commands:
| Command | Action |
|---|---|
/lock | Lock the group (prevent non-admins from sending) |
/unlock | Unlock the group |
/ban-user-from-interserv-group | Ban a user from the group |
/unban-user-from-interserv-group | Unban a user from the group |
Cross-Server Moderation
Moderators are group-wide — a moderator designated in one server has moderation powers across all channels in the interserv group, including in other servers’ channels.
Be careful who you designate as a moderator, as they can ban users and lock the group for all connected servers, not just your server.
